Our state championship alpine race team is a four-school co-op representing Central Lake, Elk Rapids, Grand Traverse Academy, and St. Francis high schools.

Great North Alpine was formed in 2014, bringing four small alpine high school ski teams together (Central Lake, Elk Rapids, Grand Traverse Academy, and St. Francis.)
As part of Michigan's Division 2 racing circuit, GNA competes in the Lake Michigan Conference (Boyne City, Charlevoix, Grayling and Harbor Springs.)
Our record:

2015: Boys 1st in conference; girls 2nd. Boys 2nd in regionals; girls 3rd.

2016: Girls and boys 2nd in conference. Girls and boys 3rd in regionals. Girls state champions; boys runners up.

2017: Boys 1st in conference; girls 2nd. Boys 2nd regionals; girls 3rd. Boys runners up at states; girls 5th.
